Antique Edwardian Black Hat in Straw, Silk Ribbon Chas A Stevens

Large brimmed with a tall crown this beauty is constructed out of a black mesh base with stripe like bands of trim in raffia straw and silk. black raffia straw. The bands form of a spiral at the crown. Rear has a large flourish of black silk in the shape of flowers and long strands of black silk ribbon hanging down. There is a similar, smaller, flourish of bow design on the upturned interior crown at front right. Interior of crown is fully lined and bears the "Chas A Stevens & Bros Chicago New York Paris"  logo.

Condition: the body in the exterior and interior are very good and just need steaming to help bring back the shape. The long black silk sashes, however are fairly tattered. I would remove them and/or replace. Priced accordingly.
